Toilet training
Toilet training can be a daunting task for the best of us. Here at Bright Stars we are wanting to support everybody in their toilet training journey with their little star. Why not speak to our experienced staff regarding the best way to start this?

Phonics
Within our preschool room we use letters and sounds and jolly phonics as our starting point. Children are familiar with the jolly phonics song that we sing and have time planned throughout the week specifically for completing phonics activities. Steph is our phonics champion and spends time with the shooting stars team to ensure they deliver a fun, strong programme on phonics.
Speech and language
During the early years of a child's life speech and language is a massive learning leap that all our little stars will complete. As practitioners we work with the correct age and stage to decipher if your little one is on target and where they need to be regarding their speech and language. All our staff are Well Comm trained and spend time completing assessments to all the children in our setting. Well Comm assessments allow us to ensure all children are developing with their speech and language well and any gaps in development can be found, support and bridged at the earliest point. If we feel your little star requires further support then referrals to the local authority groups of baby babble and toddler talk can be made.
