We celebrate all our staff birthdays with lots of cards and gifts, they deserve the best presents to show our appreciation for them.
Birthdays are a very personal celebration and we want our team to know they are worthy of the celebration. We have lots of special birthdays coming up this year! Watch this space!

When we can we offer the team treats, whether this be sweets, chocolate, fast food. Its usually things that are considered treats! On occasion we offer fruit and relaxation oils!
As a family run nursery we know the importance of feeling valued and wanted, all our staff are appreciated within the team and we find our little ways of making sure they know this!

As a team we decided to introduce well being Wednesday, this is not something we complete every Wednesday but we do honour it a lot. The rooms take it in turns to offer dinner to the whole bright stars team. In the past we have had a sweet room, home made curry, pizza take out, doughnuts, toasties, hot chocolate making and much more.

Every month our staff and the management team get to vote for the best performed employee of the month. Upon winning this accolade they win their personalised, colour stone. is staff receive 3 stones they can trade this in for £100. Lots of our staff over the years have managed to do this, spending their £100 on whatever they wish!

Employee of the year
Every year in December the parents and staff get to vote for the employee of the year. This is the biggest survey of the year and usually gets around 150 participants, voting for their best employee.
The winner is showered with gifts, flowers and a card off the Bright Stars team.
It is so lovely to see all the positive reviews given about all our staff at the end of the year, highlighting specific examples of how great our team have been towards all the little stars that attend.

Here at Bright Stars we are very proud to have many long standing staff, lots of our staff have been with us for many years, celebrating their 5 and 6 year anniversaries with us. All staff receive star badges for every year they complete with us, showing off their commitment to Bright Stars and informing parents about their time committed to us.
Lots of our apprentices have spent time qualifying with us and have gone on to progress onto SENDco roles, room leader roles and deputy roles. We like to see the value in all our staff and aid them in their progression.
